This series is an exploration of the darkroom processes and the concept of absolute truth. Creating images that are composed of multiple exposures revealed a portal into my own memories, and essentially my truth, while simultaneously creating another truth to be experienced by the viewer. The process of using analog black and white film to manufacture a print exposed multiple times is a strenuous endeavor, partly relying on skill but largely chance. The intentional ambiguity found in the images is to not only reflect the darkroom process that I love, but also how I feel about absolute truth and perspective. Throughout my journey with photography, I have used it to explore identity, memory, loss, decolonization, healing, and connection. This series is a continuation of those efforts rather than an end goal.
